Discover “Collection privées” exhibition at Marmottan-Monet Museum

Can we really live like the miserly Harpagon, selfishly clinging on to his little money box? Let go for heaven’s sake! Open the bird cage! Empty your pockets!

The Marmottan Museum, in addition to being this charming place at the corner of Ranelagh, found the right words to convince many private collections to lend close to sixty paintings signed by (hold your breath) Monet, Degas, Caillebotte, Renoir, Rodin, Camille Claudel, Seurat, Signac, Emile Bernard, Gauguin, Van Gogh, Redon, Vuillard, Bonnard, Derain, Vlaminck, Matisse …

From the impressionists to the fauve artists, connoisseurs will roar with pleasure. Will this exhibition convince secretive collectors to be generous? The visitors, finally, should not be thrifty with their footsteps: they must keep moving, there is a lot to see!
