Discover our Harvest Menu in limited edition
The lucky ones who have already harvested grapes will never forget sudden downpours and muddy boots, the fear of a secateur that may suddenly slip and feel-good aches. Well, in short, the way sports makes us feel.
All this is quite enjoyable, we don’t doubt it for a second, but to make sure you have all your fingers intact and to reduce the risk of scoliosis, it would be a good idea to stay away for some time from the wine presses to come to the Tour d’Argent and sample the wine harvest menu of dishes without gravy concocted by the maestro Philippe Labbé on 14th to 23rd September: Ranging from vineyard ceps to comté Badoz, farm-fresh eggs with girolles and corn sabayon, pike quenelle stuffed with dry raisins, Liliane Burgaud’s cross-bred duckling in two servings and poached wild john Dory with autumn truffle, the harvest is exceptional. To be precise: vintage is in sight. And all this without having to go through the ministrations of an osteopath to cure a back strain because of a wrong move. Such a wine harvest surely calls for a celebration. Time for Champagne?
