Walks through the Marais area
Have some people swum across the English Channel? It may be more comfortable to walk through the Marais. From 7th to 9th September, we assure you that it will be the Indian summer in Paris, and the opportunity to get out of one’s tepee.
The Marais Walks (Traversées du Marais) will complete their fourth year of existence on that weekend. What is it all about? A series of cultural events which are largely free and which will be held at various places between the Pompidou Centre and the Maison de la Poésie (House of poetry), the Picasso Museum and the Gaîté Lyrique, the Arts and Crafts and the wonderful Museum of Hunting and Nature (Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature). In all, twenty-eight institutions will bend over backwards to offer concerts, shows, exhibitions, balls and thematic events to audiences of all age groups. You will find it impossible to stay indoors unless you are a misanthrope.
If happiness is in the meadow, everyone will find his joy in the marshes (the marais).
