Hunt return …

Hunt return …

Madam, you are served, and Sir would do well to follow suit if he doesn’t want to miss out on the autumn gastronomical fireworks display.

From 10 to 21 October, a return-from-the-hunt menu awaits you at the table of the Tour which holds the flavours of Sologne and Beauce. Hidden behind his casseroles, excellent shot that he is, Philippe Labbé once again comes up with a faultless game cuisine… with four slots: vineyard quail eggs gribiche tartlets, ortolan with caviar and buckwheat flour blinis, lacquered roasted pheasant hen, grey partridge in calvados, royal mallard with legs consommé in whisky and dried Jerusalem artichoke polypore on an oak shell, you will not know which one to partake of faced with such a veritable feast… And, we have still not seen the desserts: grilled chestnut ceps in ice cream and crunchy caramel with honey, chocolate and cherries, they will literally give you wings. However it’s out of the question for you to fly far too away from the quai de la Tournelle. After this memorable bird hunt menu, a hairy beast hunt menu will be on offer to tease your taste buds from 1st November onwards – at the Tour, the hunter always lands up twice. Unless you are held back in a forest at the other end of France, how can you resist this? You shouldn’t mistake the children of the good Lord for wild ducks!
