Jazz at la Tour

The Bar des Maillets d’Argent’s new musical rendez-vous.

Following its opening chapter in October, November unveils a new musical universe with Transatlantique – a series of distinguished evenings celebrating elegance, swing, and the timeless spirit of Saint-Germain-des-Prés.

Guitarist and vocalist Thomas Curbillon, accompanied by pianist Ludovic Allainmat, brings a refined and deeply expressive interpretation to the great standards of the American songbooks. Velvety jazz, timeless melodies and effortless swing intertwine in an elegant dialogue between the two shores of the Atlantic, where the rich heritage of American jazz meets the inimitable spirit of Saint-Germain-des-Prés.

A true musical alchemist, Thomas Curbillon first captured the attention of audiences and critics alike with his debut album, Place Sainte Opportune, which was met with widespread acclaim. In 2024, he was selected to provide the musical accompaniment for the passage of the Olympic Flame through Saint-Germain-des-Prés. Today, he stands among the rising talents of the Parisian jazz scene.

At his side, pianist Ludovic Allainmat lends his distinctive sensibility and artistic perspective, weaving a subtle dialogue between tradition and modernity in homage to the great masters of jazz — from Oscar Peterson to Bill Evans and Herbie Hancock.

To complement this exceptional musical interlude, our Head Bartender, Andy Soto, has created the “Miles Davis”, an autumnal interpretation of the Sidecar conceived exclusively for these jazz evenings. A study in contrasts, it combines the delicate, fruit-forward freshness of quince with the warm, toasted notes of roasted buckwheat.

Allow yourself to be transported by JAZZ A LA TOUR, and experience an evening where music, savoir-faire and Parisian elegance meet in the singular setting of the Bar des Maillets d’Argent.
