La Tour on a journey to Mexico !

For the very first time in its history, La Tour d’Argent is traveling to Mexico for a gastronomic week at the heart of Sofitel Mexico City Reforma.

From October 1st to 5th, 2025, Chef Yannick Franques will take over the kitchens of restaurant Bajel, led by Executive Chef Alonso Vidal, and present a menu inspired by some of La Tour d’Argent’s most iconic recipes — such as the Œuf Mystère, the André Terrail Pike Quenelles, and a Duck Pie — all reinterpreted through the flavors of Mexico.

Executive Chef Alonso Vidal will join Chef Franques to bring this culinary encounter between Paris and Mexico to life.

Guests will discover a three-course lunch menu and a six-course dinner menu, each enhanced by refined wine pairings carefully curated by Victor González, Head Sommelier of La Tour d’Argent. For this exceptional occasion, rare bottles from the restaurant’s legendary wine cellar will be specially brought to Mexico.

This exclusive event is part of La Tour en Balade, an initiative launched in 2022 by André Terrail, owner of La Tour d’Argent, with the ambition of sharing the heritage of our Maison beyond its walls.

For this unique occasion, Chef Yannick Franques will be joined by Yohan Jossier, Restaurant Director, and Victor González, our Head Sommelier. Together, they will embody the French art de vivre and hospitality, offering guests a true immersion into the unique universe of La Tour d’Argent.

Each of them represents an essential facet of our heritage :

  • Chef Yannick Franques, through the elegance and precision of his cuisine;
  • Yohan Jossier, master of hospitality, who will delight guests with the flambéing of our iconic Crêpes Mademoiselle;
  • Victor González, who will elevate the experience with his rare and exacting wine selection.
