16th Edition of Gastronomy & Wines Trophies – La Tour d’Argent Honored

On October 28, 2024, Lyon, the undisputed capital of French gastronomy, came alive with the rhythm of the 16th edition of the Gastronomy and Wine Trophies at the Palais de la Bourse. Organized by the newspaper Le Progrès in partnership with Les Toques Blanches Lyonnaises, this exceptional event celebrates the talents shaping the excellence of French cuisine.

Each year, the Gastronomy and Wine Trophies pay tribute to chefs and sommeliers whose work contributes to the prominence of our culinary heritage, both in France and beyond. This edition was no exception, with 13 professionals honored for their remarkable careers and contribution to French craftsmanship. This moment of celebration also highlights the importance of transmission, honoring apprentices—the future ambassadors of our gastronomic heritage.

This year, La Tour d’Argent was particularly honored. André Terrail, owner of our Parisian institution and patron of this 16th edition, received the prestigious Honor Trophy, underscoring his dedication to French gastronomy and his contribution to the prestige of our culinary culture. This award not only celebrates La Tour d’Argent’s legacy but also the ambition of a House looking to the future, committed to passing on this heritage to future generations.
